Spoke to my insurance company yesterday about increasing the value of the car on the policy, they came across as being relunctant to do so, have the car on a laid-up policy, who,s using what and what kind of values should i expect to push them up to

you need to get a valuation done ian.
they don't like to do it on your say so..

you should definately get a agreed valuation Ian, Get it valued by club or similar, headed paper will be good enough for insurance companies. Just changed mine from £190 limited mileage etc. Value now £25+ thats now £250pa.

Have you tried AON in Dudley. I can't find their website ATM sorry.

With a valuation I think they will let you insure it for whatever you want on a cost per £1000 of the valuation.

spoke to aon, very good, and best deal. but when the value of the car is a bit out of the guide lines you will still need to get a agreed value done.

Agree. I've been with AON for about 5 years now. No-One can touch them.
