  • Lucky find

Dermot asked me to try and source some leaf spring bushes for his RS2000.

Knowing that one of my work colleagues (at another shop) is an ex Ford parts man, who worked in dealers around the time the Mk2 was a current car, I thought I'd ask him if he had any tucked away at his branch.

6 genuine Ford rear spring eye bushes turned up at my branch at 5pm today

Just waiting for the front spring eye ones to come in on the stock delivery tomorrow
    Cheers Rob.

They aren't Mk2 Escort ones, they're 50mm wide, and the Mk2 has 60mm wide springs
              Cheers Rob.

                And your point is ?

I didn't have to order them from Ford, as the firm I work for already had 6 in stock, so I was lucky wasn't I ?
                Cheers Rob.

no point at all, some people just never try ford first, and struggle to find the bits they need.
