Im in the same boat, i offered to buy the terracotta one on ebay at asking price, and he now wants to see out the auction on ebay. Its greed to some extent, and i might just withdraw my offer.

I wouldnt mind but i hate terracotta!

Ebay is definitely responsible for inflated prices, its too easy a forum to find cars, and takes the 'work' out of finding one, making it easy for those with plenty of cash and little commitment or energy to find one.
