had a full service on the compressor today at work - got chatting to the guy doing it and inevitably the subject got onto cars -

i said "give me a ford pinto engine anytime" to which he replied
"thats those engines in the mk2 rs2000 isnt it, i had one of them brand new in 1978"
"really" i said "have you still got it ?"
"no, i sold it and bought an rs1800 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "
i said "have you still got that one then ?"
"no, my mate had an v8 mgb which was faster, so i px'd it for one of them cos i didnt like it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

asked him about it, had he any photos etc, but all he remembers that it was white !!!!! arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh ....... no, really !!!!!

Similar story when I bought those door cards off that guy in Southampton which I gave to you Gra !

he had an RS1600 from new, he tried to get one of those RS1800's but gave up after 6 months waiting, so he bought a new MK2 RS2000 instead, but didnt like it.
