    RS components is the place to go for a bit of quality. I would say 'Fast Eddies' but I doubt if you're in Belfast much.

      Agree RS are pretty good ,dear though and you need a trade account.

          Hi,

          Go to http://www.rswww.com and search for the following text string:

          pcb mount power socket

          You'll find a few listed, although the one you are looking for is an extra low profile job where the spring terminal is on the side rather than top or bottom.

          Your best bet is to find the part you need, buy it, then take the whole caboodle to somebody who knows what they are doing with a soldering iron.

          PS. I thought RS had done away with the trade-only thing.

                Got it sorted

                Used a chassis mount power socket and ran wires off the PCB to socket terminals

                Even managed to fit it so it is in same position as original socket

                £80 + vat repair for £3.00
