did some searching and it seems that it is global ebay-policy not to let sellers charge for using paypal. But ebay will not look for auctions where this still is the case, they only act when ebay-ers file a complaint.

Thanks Leon ,as dave above never agreed to it ,but on cheap items it was easier than posting cash euros as transfers iban etc are silly money from UK to europe.
I had it easy a couple of years ago as brother was living/working for ING bank in Rotterdam and did transfers for me.CheeRS Neil

halifax are good for german tranfers, charge £15 and can do it over the phone if you have swift/iban etc
