RHB to Whitby 6 miles A171
Whitby to Pickering 20 miles A169
Pickering to Thirsk 27 miles A170
Thirsk to Masham 15 miles A61/B6267
Masham to Leyburn 11miles A6108
Leyburn to Kendal 55 miles A684
Kendal to Windermere ferry 11 miles B5284
* Lunch stop* Meet at pub just after ferry app.145 miles
Here we will "meet up with the quicker riders" regroup and have lunch, before tackling Hardknott. .
Windermere Ferry to Boot 21 miles Hardknott
Boot to St Bees 18 miles A595
Total Miles 184 .
Regular coast2coast riders will no doubt be delighted! that we are once again going over Hardknott Pass (or Hardknock as John Loving calls it) . The reason we are leaving RHB from the top and not the bottom is to save the clutches for this task (so no bottling it)
At St Bees we are once again using the Seacoates Hotel for our Free musical extravaganza. Free camping is once again provided for members on the campsite which adjoins the hotel.
The above is the final plan of action .......................... Full stopsigpic
