Did anyone ever Skateboard here ?

Just had a trip down memory lane , always wanted the Cali Laminate board, 7" Pheonix Trucks sealed bearings and Lime Green Kryptonic wheels

and while looking for a board for my sons birthday I found these, he says 70's but I thought later, anyway £112 3 days to go on 30 year old skateboard wheels LOL

Brian, i remember i had a GS Fibreflex with Krytonic wheels, awesome bit of kit, wish i still had it, wouldn,t dare get on the thing, probably break my neck, good memories though

I did too!
Sadly (!!)..wrote to the council, when I was 10, asking them to build us a skate park..got my pic in the paper! of course this was back in the 70's!!!!!

i used to roller skate, not skate board, not those crappy inline things either. i first had bauer boots but changed to GRAF CX200's, much more individual, had 7" wide trucks for bowl riding and had various wheels from SIMMS STREET SNAKES, to MINI KRYPT's in black ( quite rare if i recall as most were red ) i even had a set of powell&peralta BELLAIR hockey wheels, i could go on, but i'm boring myself now..........

Being a teenager in the late 70's I had no paper round so couldn't afford a decent board. Ended up making my own by glueing two bits of ply together and including forming a fish tail front and back. A weeks pocket-money went on a strip of adhesive grip tape.

haha never did the skateboard thing, like lee i was a skater, I had my bauer turbo skates, bel-air 2tone marble wheels, abec 3 bearings (haha ) and mightyduck colours hockeysocks. I also had smiley face laces, and union jack stickers on the front off of the lotus elise sports (helps having a dad who makes graphics for lotus)

Well and truely modified!

Now I have a bigger 4wheeled toy to play with, the modifying never stops does it?!

Had a Santa Cruz board with "Odd" Kryptonics Had 2 different colours on each truck (Was the "In thing" to do) Wasn't very good though and broke my leg at Grantham skate park whilst titting around on the half pipe

some of the lads on the south coast here are still into their BMX's - a few have some 'concours' machines form the late 70's, early 80's and even take some of their old hacks to the local track
