I have dealt many times on Ebay with Ze Germans !

They dont half get the hump if they advertise "Germany Only" and a Brit buys the item.

Personally I can see no difference in posting to UK or posting within Germany - buyer still pays all the costs etc

Maybe my grandad damaged their Brockwurst shop - who knows ?

While on the subject of German web-sites, here's an interesting one that often has items of MK 1 and 2 "absolute raritat" ! :

can't help out on that one, but have you considered picking them up? It's a day trip unless you live in Edinburgh. A cheapy £10 return on the chunnel and about 4 hours drive. Stock up on booze on the way back. Perhaps less than the postage in the long run, you get to see what you're buying, no bank transfer charges, and no risk of damage.

im buying a set from germany too.

just give him a postal address and tell him to mark them as a gift.

                              ... if he ever replies

germany is in the EU so no problem marking as gift

I JUST NEED A GERMAN TO SEND HIM AN EMAIL
