  • Need some motivation.

I seem to have come to a grinding halt at the mo, waiting for one more major bit for the engine bay, then i should be able to move on, trouble is, when this happens, it allows the mind to wander..... Only last night i was down the village shop and up pulls P300 COS a Imperial Blue Escort Cos, absolutley stunning, got talking to the 26yr old and he was proud to tell me it was rear wheel drive only and how they had achieved it. I,m sure everyone that does a "Worthers" probably goes through this lack of motivation and starts to have second thoughts. Still, in the words of the great man, "ive started so i,ll finish", just looking for some words of wisdom.

if you need motivation, move it from where its stood and just go stare at it for a while.

Happened to me a few times when I was rebuilding the first mk2 I bought. 2 specific things used to spur me into a frenzy of activity; 1) going to a meet or show (usually Ace Cafe) and seeing some lovely cars there with everyone admiring them, or 2) driving along in the daily hack and having a muppet in a chav mobile giving it large making me want to be in the mk2 to illustrate a 'proper' old skool car with carbs barking (actually expensive prestige cars also seemed to have the same effect.. ). The next day would often see me working like mad to try and get it closer to completion.

Unfortunately I never did complete it; sold it and bought one already done . Not that its an option for you...

Its looking great by the way, I'm green with envy
