Kev, i think the only question you need to ask is... whens the next one likely to come along ???. I think you shouldn,t have said anything, then waited for the biggest show, turned up last, and watched who could under the bonnest quickest !!

bloody hell kev have you sold 6 pints of your blood and a kidney

put the BDA in, so long as its not "standard" and make a glass topped coffee table out of the pinto, would be a good taking point at dinner parties......

If you know enough about it and its the right money I would go for it.If you don't know its history and spec and if its top money then keep away.A bad BDA will cost you a fortune and you could have a total loss.A rod out and you can hardly recover anything to reuse in a rebuild.Trust me I have seen a few over the years when Banner has poped a rod at 9k ,with a Wilcox rebuild in excess of 6 figures.your misses must be a very understanding lady to let you consider it ,I thought mine was ok when she bought my Rally car for me,well sold her Terrano to allow me to buy it,but to add an engine on top of your very impressive spec car which you must have quite a bit of dollar in ,she must happy with you

blood hell kev when would be the right time ..... i would suggest wineing and dining and a bit of sixtyn#ning, and while shes blotto and in that post loving dilerium just slip it in....... the BDA request i mean

seriously tho you should be able to recoup a fair wedge for your pinto, if i hadnt invested in new 45s i would have been very interested.

Wow, so in excess of 6 figures is 7 figures; 100,000 for a rebuild seems pretty steep to me.
