top gear at knockhill

the lads from top gear were at knockhill yesterday building a kit car, it was something to do with a race with the stig, my mate who works for the traffic cops was there with the patrol car, and was asked by the production team to stop the stig at the gates, my mate was filmed driving the stig away in the patrol car he was well chuffed.

was a guy called Perry McCarthy he almost became a f1 driver, have read his book flat out flat broke, dont know if its still him or not though

Perry MaCarthy got sacked (alledgedly) from Top Gear for naming himself as The Stig in his book !

Remember the Jag being shot off the Aircraft Carrier ?

belive perry was a driver for audi in sports car racing R8 le mans etc and did lot of racing in usa with audi a8 quattros, read it audi mag in dealership one time when waiting to be releaved of vast amounts of cash for an oil change. the article dropped the stig thing in at the end as a one liner.
