Hello everyone – Ian Forgan, Director Mercury Motorsport Ltd. A customer of mine has recently alerted me to this thread which I initially read with some alarm.
I have had a discussion with Paul Tamplin to clarify the facts and stress the point that there was no wrong doing. If anyone wishes for me to elaborate further then please feel free to contact me (number is in Classic Ford every month). If this thread does prevent anyone from placing a deposit on one of our Escorts then I doubt if they were ever a serious customer in the first place.

Thank you to those who posted in my defence or with unbiased opinion. I am however, a little disappointed to see some familiar names post on this thread without bringing it to my attention.

It has been a fairly interesting few days since I first saw this thread and an incredible amount of eyebrow raising information has easily come my way by phone, visits and emails.
On that note I will end. However, I would like to say that it is obvious we all have 1 thing in common, a passion for RWD Escorts. So lets all grow up a little bit, think long and hard about implications before publishing a post and most importantly, Live and Let Live.
