Do you think there are far too many club/shows over the UK

just interested as there are the dedicated show goers and those like myself who can only come to a few due to travel constraints

for me there are 2many show but i go 2 rsoc show, old skool ford shows and sprint meets with a mate, sprints/track days are alot better than a static show or a santa pod show, 1/4 mile is boring after a while

when theres too many shows they will stop making money, which means the number of shows will decrease.

this means there will always be 'just enough' shows.

i only really get to a few a year normally, not really been to a oldskool ford one as of yet, but i like to vary it accross a few areas, such as a few VW shows (ed38, ragely hall, inters) then a few generic ones (RCCS, CARS rwyb's etc) then a few ford ones, like ford fair etc

if you prefer see car being used and still want a good look around them get yur self to a sprint always a few escorts at every meet

THERE IS FAR TO MANY RS SHOWS AROUND THE COUNTRY.............


I FEEL THERE SHOULD ONLY BE FEW SMALL RS SHOWS...................

FOR EXAMPLE: CUMBRIA AND LIGH****ER VALLEY ................

THERE COULD ALSO BE 2BIG SHOWS FOR EXAMPLE :......................

1 AT DONNINGTON AT THE BEGING OF THE YEAR AND 1 IN THE MIDDLE OF THE YEAR AT SILVERSTONE SO PEOPLE CAN HAVE TRACK ACTION ALONG WITH OTHERS THINGS......

THIS WAY YOUR NOT SEEING THE SAME CARS NEARLY EVER WEEKEND AND IT SPLITS THE TIME BETWEEN THE SHOWS FOR PEOPLE TO DO OTHER ACTIVITES WITH THIER CARS............

been reading these replies with interest - we are organising the dorset show at the mo - respect due to all of you that organise other events
i guess that location of the show/events plays a massive part for owners - we are a classic example - lots of peeps have commented on the date clash with classic ford show, but we felt that for us guys down here on the south coast we could get a healthy number at an event for those not wishing to travel those distances involved with mid country events -
the likes of the isle of wight, devon, cornwall have to travel best part of two hours before they even get to some decent roads for their journeys northwards !! - also the planning of some longer events during the year like mk2 day, avo day and rsoc nat day all has to conducted with military precision !!!!!
i'd personally would love to have gone on the lakes tour but my ears would have left home by the M4 i think
i was gonna try and do seven shows this year (5 rs/ford) (2 classic) - would like to know how many others peeps try and get to ?

historic motorsport show
fast show
central day
devon rs
cumbria rs
leicester rs
a few sprint meets

planin on goin 2 classic ford, ford fair,rsoc national day, avo day and northans rs on the same day and a few more sprint and race meets and ive also got to go to work and build my own escort

more there is the more choice you have, plus a lot of people wont travel to far so the more there are spread over the country again gives more choice, will say though the rs shows seem a bit close together time wise this year,

Would not work.

Ligh****er valley and croft are 2 of the biggest shows of the year. In the same place.

Static shows are boring as hell...went to leicester this last weekend.

I was bored to tears by 10.00am.
