i was there too, what an occasion, simply awesome, and thats coming from someone who has been going there over 20 years - thought the rendition of "fields of Athenry" and "stand up and fight" was very inspiring to munster - in all my years of watching rugby at the national stadiums i have never seen such support for a team,
well done Munster

Thanks. People here are still on the ****.
I've made a couple of calls about relocating to Elvington on 3rd June, in an attempt to salvage my weekend.
So far it looks good.
If anybody else wants to do a airfield trackday, and go camping/drinking, at a decent price, have a look at www.bookatrack.com
The more older cars there the merrier.
p.s. The more I think about it, the more angry I am with those ****ing idiots in the MkII RS club :knob:Last edited by Dermot; 23-05-2006, 11:01.sigpic

Dermot,
The track day has been advertised with bookatrack, several coporate companies plus we have taken 1/2 page adverts in several of the main magazines, sadly there was little more we could do.
FYO 14 of the 29 places booked were filled by these companies!!

Originally posted by DermotIt was cancelled because of poor numbers, and clearly what should have happened is exactly what Custom did with the famous/infamous OSTD's of old. They should have opened it up, and advertised the fact.
bit harsh critising the club when all the ads were taken out and the day was put on all the escorty BB people just arnt going to trackdays, you cant force them, and now with the tracks getting greedy charging a 1/3 or more than last year the trackday is numbered apart from Ferrari and Porsche days
