  • 1188 miles later........

and my car is ruined !! i'll never get it clean again. we had a great time on the emerald isle, met some fab people, caught up with some old friends and generally had a good craic. the scenery was awsome,

the roads.....awful! i fully expect to see blown damper seals, when i pluck the courage up to look. some fool pulled me over and tried to buy my car for 10,000 euro's, i was tempted but didn't fancy the walk. we never followed the prescribed route either day, as my mate is from the area, and he gave us our own tour, going to places like union hall, skibbereen and clonakilty. i did have to watch the poxy football saturday pm. sunday i got totally pi$$ed and didnt go to bed until 2.45am, we had to get up at 7.00am to depart at 8.00 for rosslare (170 miles) got off the ferry at fishgaurd at 5.15pm and drove all the way home ( another 250 miles ) and we got in at 10.27pm last night, and i was up for work today at 6.00 am...... pity me!
and my gearbox seal gave up completly, it got real whiney on the way back , looks like i gotta bit o' work on eh.....

Well done mate just what you should be doing with an RS.
At least you are driving the car and getting the full enjoyment out of it ,a bit of cleaning and a gearbox seal is a small price to pay for 1200 miles of pleasure.Much better than complaining that your "trailer queen" has got a little grime on it after miles of mundane motorway traveling as some do.

Superb trip, the best CF tour yet,the roads were rough but the scenery and locations we visited were excellent.

                          Cheers,
