  • brake lines

Although i dont own one i always love to keep an eye on your forum as i have a big respect for the work you guys do on your cars. but at the moment i am restoring an XR3, and need to replace the brakelines so i thought the best people to ask would be you guys. on my car the brake lines were coated/painted green, not sure about the RS2000's but where do you guys get your brakelines from and are they coated etc etc.

Some people are lucky enough to still have the original brake pipes (Me included) Others use the copper nickel pipes that are easy to bend. Concours boys have them specially made up from the original hard as nails to bend piping. The MK2 never came with the coated pipes like the later Fords. You might be able to get them powder coated???? Cheers, Kev.

get a scrap car with good pipes... other bits come in really handy like nuts, bolts, clips etc.

        cheers Dave
