      • Just a quick pic to show how low it is on the back now... :compress:

        Another inch anyone?

        • Just put in the glass, seats, carpets, bootlid, fuel, doors etc. - then you'll have an extra inch (and it won't be painful at all!)

          • Well, i`m off to Thailand for a month on Tuesday so the car has gone to a secret location for storage
One last pic before i jet off to the warm weather, i`ve noqw got the bumpers on and the tank bolted in.
The front brakes are plumbed in and bled up and i`ve fabricated a towing eye and braket that blots to the chassis... Which resulted in my dad getting FLASH and going to the hospital at 4am last wednesday morning
So, i`ll be posting here again in Sunny December when i return.

                        • Finally made a start on re-starting! lol
Got the engine steamed off and cleaned up some of the alloy bits, removed the rocker cover to paint.
Found its got a nearly new clutch in it, RL21 cam - new spray car and lifters, its really clean in there.
The guy who i bought it off told me it was a 2.1... Suppose we`ll have to just wait and see, but the engine has recently been stripped down and over hauled as the block has been freshly painted so maybe he was telling the truth?
Some one has spent some cash on it at one time... glad its not me!!

Going to get the engine sat back in the bay sometime next week!! WAYHEY!

                            • Wire wool and a wire brush... but not a harsh one, quite a mild one.
Theres still a lot more cleaning to do though! It takes ages!

                              • Finally got the car back down into the the "work" garage today.
Got the engine dropped in, got the g/box bolted up to bell housing and
just looking into getting the back g/box mounting fitted... Having to mod it
                                to fit.
The old girl seems to have fended for herself quite well the past 2 months
                                i`ve not seen her :compress:
So the build up has started, nothing that fits and everything has changed,
so everything take 5 times longer to put back on!!

This is what i`m having problems with at the moment... After fitting the
new tunnel, the back g/box mounting has been cut away too and the
tunnel where it mounts is wider... So there is no mounting holes and the old ones dont fit...

This is the modded rear g/box mounting i`m hoping will fit... Well after
this pic was took, i nearly got it to fit... Just needs a bit more messing
with and it will be in place... Drill a few holes, twist a few bolts and Hey
                                Presto!
