A man of your ability could have that done in a day....Originally posted by mk1GTstu View PostIf I did decide to do that it won't be in the near future, it would mean windscreen out job & welding/grinding to put it back. Bodywork is all very good on it & I'm happy to leave the 6 dial dash in for the time being. Maybe sometime in the future....

 Cheers, Stu

As you say, Rome wasn't built in a day.

I'm OCD too and I would like to add my name to the "two clock" list please! Your van brings back many happy memories! During my early days as a TV engineer (1970/80's), I had three Mk1 and three Mk2 Escort vans before "upgrading" to a Mk2 estate, mostly all from new! I then had three Mk3 and two Mk4 Escort FWD vans...they were not so much fun in the wet compared with the old vans! No load in the back, I could hang the back-end out on greasy roundabouts! Great fun!

Well done and good luck in your restoration, and more photos please.
