Ive been very lucky and just picked up a set of standard base seats from Turbospud, really good condition and he gave them to me for a really good price, just need to get a set of steels and my car should be able to go back to its originality, but unsure if i will fit them as i like the fishnets and the Ronals.

Used to have a Venetian Red Base Model "FHL 860V" When I bought it though a previous owner had already added all of the Custom parts.....

Good luck with it - looks a really good project, I bet you could have that done for Bodellwydan next year! Good to see you again yesterday (personally I'd keep it as close to standard as poss!)
    Cheers - Andy (GUF)

As for the debate in to the amount of them still about in their original trim spec, I think there are relatively few. Not a scientific measure I know, but at the Lakes show this year, I only saw one.
This model was not a great seller for Ford, it was kind of a replacement for the Mk2 mex but they did not pull it off once again! For RS2000 buyers wanted the full spec to go with it, no cheap seats, plain looped pile carpet, plain trim or steel wheels (although alloys and Recaros were an option) and they wanted that nice little glove box too! Many base models were registered very late due to being stuck in the showrooms for some time unsold! You might find some with a microwave sunroof, radio and after-market vinyl roof fitted, a dealers last desperate attempt to shift them! It's not all bad though as these little base models have had the last laugh, due to them being rare they are now becoming popular and well loved! So rare, how many arguments have you heard from the less knowledgeable debating whether these models are a proper RS2000??? Lol.
