Oh dear new shaft are to long, these need to be cut down and the new 7mm bolts from weber are wider than the original so these need reduced in width. The carbs are so close together when fitted to the manifold that the clearance is next to nothing. Note new bearing with rubber seals rather than original type.
Linkage took months to do, stainless is hard to work with, and had to make sure everything rotated smoothly without binding.
Purchased a DCOE linkage for the adjustment screws and bought the ball from Italian ebay
Opposite side remade as well in stainless

Reason: added picture
Allen screws on the throttle cable plate will be replaced with period correct bosner or kamax hex heads on previous picture.
Airbox was blasted and Barry (MK1 COS) TIG welded a few cracks on the base. Its currently with another mate for painting Satin black, Mr Hoarder supplied a RS decal at the Lakes.
I Needed 2 Lid clips as one was missing and another was different so may as well have a go at making them.
This took a few attempts to get right, tried using heat to bend them and tried cold, works both ways but Im hoping there is enough spring in the stainless steel rod I used. They can be heat treated to harden slightly.
Original pattern on the right
Ended up making a jig, only had enough rod to make 3 and will need to check if they work when I get my airbox back
