Just like Taffr`s Rothmans car ,looks the part even if its not 100% original.
Darrell (not Darren) has a lot of good repro works parts and will offer plenty of pish taking to go with them.

    A decent engine

[QUOTE=alancdavis;687484]Please define a decent MK2 escort engine[/QUOTEA decent engine is the one you want. If this was my last build I would consider something reliable that doesn't need ongoing tuning etc and is driveable in your later years and if need be your chauffer can handle it.

You don't have to open the bonnet so as long as it sounds reasonable it's all good.
I have vague memories of that car[lot of water under the bridge] go for it enjoy the build and driving it whatever your choice is.

Thanks gents for the positive comments,,

Hayes looked up the chap from the body shop who worked on the car as the first thing I asked was the colours

Diamond White and Electric Monza blue,,

Dident know that if you build a replica car you need the permission of the original sponser to use the company logos,,, something to do with copyrite and advertising rights
