Had a look at the Haynes car today and noted it has a multipoint cage and also Perspex windows ,,, Will I be correct that this is to comply with current MSA regs and not regs of the day

Good luck with the build! Im pretty sure the original car was put back together at Roscoe engineering in Liverpool a few years ago, the shell looks a bit beaten (i.e. original) underneath but has been prepared beautifully when I saw of it mid build.

Dead right to go with the zetec, just had mine set up on efi-parts rolling road in runcorn, standard except for home made throttle bodies, arp bolts, a decent exhaust and a billet steel flywheel, makes 163bhp at 7200rpm and 150ft-lbs of flat torque.

Sounds awesome on full chat, pulls like a train, can set off in second, uses no oil, is lightweight, what more could you ask for. if you're ever near Ormskirk, let me know and I'll take you out in it.

Any questions on the niggles of zetec install, pm me, as I've done all mine myself Ive probably seen and dealt with most of the challenges.
If you want to look at it put an old original engine in, If you want to drive it you know what to do :-)
