Hi mate.. just a quick question for you. My mex had two owners at same address the place was . Tanronen hotel beddgelert Caernarfon .. just wondered if it was anywhere near you / can you remember it.. any info would be intresting.. it was there for about 1980 to 1982... Thanks.

Sorry, Beddgelert is a lovely place and is miles away from me. It's in Snowdonia and I'm on the North Wales coast. I'm afraid I don't even recognise it either! It's dead on time when I had my yellow RS and I would have been clocking them all, but sorry not this one.

Started stripping the engine that i bought, the guy said it was a 2.1, pulled the head of and it standard and ****ed, must have been stood outside for years with rainwater pouring in the exhaust ports

Nasty, but on the bright side its a excuse for an overbore and a few more cc's and you know what you have. A block bored to its limits and rusty bores would be worse.
