Escort Rally Car Build!

Ok, I think I've got the hang of it, (just took a while to learn how to upload photos )

Please find The photos of the work done so far to one of our (Jam Motorsport) Escort shells, as some of you may know we've been building modern rally cars for many years, This is until now! one of our customers has asked us to build a car, so here it is, and hopefully the first of many! We've been importing shells for the past year now, as you can see all the paint has been removed (by hand) more photos to follow soon,

Would have to be a very early shell if it was from Oz (possibly European import) as no plates on strut tops, additional strengthening by parcel shelf missing and no fuel filler behind number plate. Plus he says its converted from LHD to RHD.

I think the works been done john looking at it, so back panel perhaps replaced

The shells had a few bits and bobs done to it, but nothing major, Now here's a few more photos of the fun bit, The bit that makes it a rally car,








As you can see below, we've fabricated an auto tunnel to the shell, the only reason is that I think it looks better than any box tunnel,
but in doing this we've had to remake the gear box mounts, and had to make an alloy cover, because you cant seem to get them anywhere!!







I'll add more if people are interested, were doing things to our shells I've never seen before,
