The new project has arrived

Finally picked it up this morning, its a 1975 Auto shell which I don't think is too bad considering it's sat outside for far too long. Heater bubble/rear panel are 100% stuffed and I have 2 small holes in the front n/s floor. I've no doubt other areas of nasty may appear when I start to dig but I'm chuffed and its a good base for my new rally car project. Must crack on now and finish the RS before I start this one

Will you be putting a standard back panel on it and or a manual tunnel?
From what I see of it those auto tunnels really eat into the driver's legroom

Will give it a clean out tomorrow and hoping no spiders are lurking
Standard back panel will be fitted
Auto tunnel stays, put one of these in my Roth rep and have no issues with legroom
Not seen many with opening 1/4's in Oz but heaps in malaysia

Auto tunnel has always been part of a rally car build for the last 32 years, and not only on Escorts, fitted one on a number of Opels too.

BTW was having a wee poke around this morning and found a frog hiding in the cavity behind the parcel shelf . Did the right thing though,fished it out and put in the lake across the road
