MY NEW PROJECT (thats not that new now)

Having finished the build of my blue mk2 some 3 years ago now , I decided I wanted the shell better than it was! I did think about redoing it.
but it had been well got at by it last owner and some of the repairs on it would have made it very difficult to put right. so I stripped it and sold off the shell engine and most of the running gear as im going down a different road with this one .
now never having done bodywork or welding before I bought a welder and some panel tools and had a play on some scrap metal , once id got some idea how to do it I went out and got this!

well unfortunately it did need more work then the pics showed, under the top plates was nothing but rust ,plus the inner sill foot well and the a post on the drivers side was rotten too, the wells in the boot had both gone and front panel was shot.
so I thought id start with something easy so I did this first

well that was almost 2 years ago now so ill keep going till its up to date after fitter the inner wing I started to more work on the front end including new front panel top plates splash panels rad cut out baulkhead repairs plus lots more.

Nice one, looks like a decent shell that one, wish mine was half as good when I started it!! Keep at it, it will be done before you know it
