Even though I'm not taking a lump of rust and turning it into a work of art like most of the extremely talented guys on here, I thought I would start a thread to document my mk2 while its with me.

As it looks now:





Bits I've bought to fit:

Brakes upgraded , new m16 calipers with vented and drilled discs fitted


Twin 40s all ready to fit : just can't decide wether too or not???



And today's purchase , a set of 5 1979 original Ford RS alloys , all polished and painted correctly, thought my hunt for over riders was over but they turned into ghia over riders.... Damn it. And a new set of Carello spots as mine are a little jaded.

Nice car that mate. Ive noticed a few detail changes with the SA cars compared to UK ones. The seats are stitched and sculptured, The sport embossed pad on the dash, the cloth rather than vinyl headrests, the spats on the Wheel arches, and none of the SA cars seem to have the stripe around the wheel arch either. Oh and the door tops are black rather than body coloured.

Lets have some pics when you get the wheels on.

Yes all correct, mines going in to have door tops ,boot and front spoiler colour coded next week, they do have the added Mexico strengthened body shell too.

I think the spoiler looks better body coloured.
