Lovely car mate, I'd certainly have it in my garage and I'd definately keep the stickers on it if you like them, it sets it apart and puts your own stamp on it.

I agree with this guy .... if you like them, who cares what anyone else thinks. They'll come off as easily as they went off if you ever need to remove them, and they'll make the car recogniseable as your own

I'm not obsessed with "Mexico standard" to be honest: the sunroof I don't care about either way, the black grill I actually prefer (again, in my mind's eye at least, the rally cars usually had the all black look). So both stay

My grill was black like yours, but i added the strato silver detailing .... after looking at your photo's i'm thinking i might paint it black again

much like fitting stickers, painting a grill is easily reversed if ever needs be

The blue on the headlights is the original "H4" sticker (oh no, more stickers!). I'm told the headlights are still original.

The headlamps deffo look correct being the Ford Carello ones, same as on my Harrier. I think the stickers were not original fit though, but not to worry its more stickers and I like em.

I like a white mex probably more than anyone however every show I go to 99.9% of them look the same the stickers make it different!! Hope you have a lot of fun in your car. Wish I had one of the same pedigree!!!

I've just had the carbs rebuilt and then tuned on a rolling road by Power Engineering. While the results on the road are much improved (it was very rough on small throttle openings as the carbs were both leaky and gummed up), the power results (see attached graph) have left me a bit underwhelmed.

It's a two litre pinto with a fast road cam (not sure exactly what kind unfortunately) and 44IDF carbs. I was expecting around 120-130bhp. Is that realistic? Any thoughts on what might be "wrong" please?
