I have Just started to restore the car. Im trying to find history on car before it came to the US. Will post details as they emerg. It appears to have been used as a race rally car in Sweden most of its life.
Been Speaking to a previous owner, he has the Swedish Race/Rally competation Log book. This should help a lot tracing history. Anyone read/translate Swedish here?
In doing research into the cars History, I have found a previous owner with the Swedish Logbook. I beleive it to be the Race/Rally Logbook. It should provide some intersting leads. I have no idea what to expect,
Well after much research, it turns out this is one on the Swedish TIMEX race team cars. Probily the first one, It was bought from Flemming Rasmussen in Denmark (who i beleive was the first owner in 1968) it turns up in several DK races with Flemming driving before he did some damage requireing a new roof. In 1969, It was then bought and raced by Bo EMMA Emanuealsson In BRM Twincam and BDA livery, before being sold to Anders Waerner, who continued to race it for the Timex race team up until about 1973, with BDA and Twincam motors. I cannot (yet) find any record until it turned up in Stocholm in 1992. The car was instrumental in winning the 1972 Swedish Stock Car Championship, won by Bo. 2nd In 1973.
If anyone has contact information fro Andres Waerner or Flemming Rasmussen please contact me.
