Haha, did all that in the 70's, this one is far too good for going up the dyke back.

Modded head and cam on next, refit Janspeed system and finish Gp1 front brake conversion and Goodrich hoses and ready for 1 March hitting of the road and the Lakes Tour.

Have to ration my time on the car as my 66 year old back is playing up with too much ligging on a cold garage floor.
Glad your happy with the adaptor!! Worked out realy well and such an easy and neat conversion!!

              That is looking very handsome

By the way, what bolts (length etc) did you use to plug in those T9 mounting blocks?

I used the original bolts, just changed the standard blocks for GS Escorts one. I had to make some 6 mm spacers to drop it down because the gearstick adapter bolts were hitting the underside of the tunnel.

I see, but you must have used some extra bolts to attach the mountings to the brackets on the body? What length are they?

No, a standard RS 2000 has 2 bolts each side holding the alloy blocks to the body and 2 bolts each side holding the gearbox crossmember to the alloy blocks.

Thanks Alan, one or two niggly things to sort out, brake disc is rubbing against the backplate and it sound like a banshee, looks like hub coming off to sort it. I've tried levering it with a screwdriver and the brakes are being a bit of a sod to bleed. It will be well ready before my first Lakes Tour.

I can't remember if the bolts were m10 or 3/8 unf they are about 1 1/4" long
