The guy I bought this off was going to do it up and keep it, he has made a start on the O/S of the car. He has owned it for over 16 years, and its been stood since 97, but his circumstances changed and last month he got in touch and asked me if i wanted it. I wasnt actually looking for another car as i have one of these already to work on plus the other mk2 1300 i started a resto on, but i just couldnt say no lol
Does anyone know what car the recaros are from ? they are comfy and are quite nice, but they are not the correct ones for the car. I would prob consider a swap for some correct period ones
It will be a while before I start on this one as I want to get the green 1300 pop plus done first.

I nearly had one of these years ago, had a fiesta 1.4s with xr2 lump and nearly done a deal, wish i did!

thats just a Recaro after market jobby - used to sell them out of magazines like Car and Car Conversions in the 80's along with Corbeau and Cobra seats

What he said. No way are they 2.8i or similar Ford seats as they don't have Ford fabric, like that of say a Sport (i.e. check pattern) or Beta etc.

Thanks for clearing that up guys, at least I know a bit more about them now. It was bugging me tbh.
I was told the engine has had some work done on it, but the owner couldnt recall what had been done by the previous owner he got it from, so until i strip it down that will remain a mystery.
Its had 4 previous recorded owners.
The last owner painted it white under the bonnet, I asked him if there was any reason, ie did he prefer white, and he said he cant remember why he did it white and wished that he hadnt lol .
It has the harrier tag with platinum on it, and almost everything looks right, bar for the front seats of course, the headlamps and the front overriders.
Yes Wayne another sunroof lol, I cant seem to get away from them, but i have a spare roof skin if i need to use it.

Well a similar one but with no engine sold on ebay earlier this year for £4900 . I suppose its all down to what one is prepared to pay .
My thoughts on the 1300 pop plus are to make it solid, respray it in the original colour it was done in (Venetian Red), MOT it and then let it go. So far the only difference from standard spec will be the sports steel wheels, and maybe some better seats.

lol, O Davey, she knows all about my projects mate. I never intended to collect so many, I was happy to just have the one to restore, but sometimes things change and these things come up and its so hard to say no, and then before you know it they are growing out of your ears.

Good to see another harrier to be saved i used to have one in white back in 1988.
