Nice day in Cumbria and so spent a couple of hours on the car ,,

Fit the seats back in and a new set of belts





On reflection I should have gone for blue belts ,,,,, also added a little motiff to the seats




Next bits.. a new steering wheel new rear mount lucus reverse lamp and a set of cibies

Dident have a wood dash so I wnt for the silver facia with the wood,,, I have now got hold of a full set of caps so need to rub then down and restain and varnish them

The ones I had were from here and there and never stained up correctly and were completly different grains and also the rear were split ,,, so the black was really an experiment to see how they look

Looking well alan.......when you said industrial size washing machine on the carpet did you use a steam cleaner?

It was actually down a local whirly wash ,,,,, threw it into the big machine that they use for soiled coveralls,,,,,,,,Refit to the car and used a couple of cans od carpet dye spray

Needs a nice mk1 centre console rather than the mk2 Ghia/sport one

Do they still fit due to the fact the gearstick hole has been moved back ?

The correct centre console fits like a glove. The gear stick hole is moved back as standard on mk1 rs2000's. so, will fit yours if moved back
