  • RS1800 freshen up

Hello, I have decided to improve a few things that were wrong with the car and freshen up a few parts on 78C1180.
    Steeering rack with tie wraps

Tie wraps removed and wire tied

    Steering rack ends been sprayed

Front struts cleaned and new stickers fitted

Some freshly rezinced bolts and nuts fitted

Old door lock to be removed and be rezinced

    Correct door switches fitted

I have got a spare set of steel wheels repainted and will be fitting them with some NOS cn36s. I will add some more photos when I make more progress. Thanks Paul.

Very nice - some very worthwhile improvements there, in particular I like the wire-ties on the rack boots, I've not seen them for years, but do I remember them in black?....don't take much notice, I'm only fussing now!

I got some of the outer steel armoured from SWA cable the same dimension as the original wire and got it rezinced silver.

Seats look amazing. Is that just stripped and new foam then? Very impressive.

Seats were stripped old backing foam removed from original beta cloth and then they relaminated new backing foam anto the original beta coloth. I am very impressed with them myself. I got them done locally by A&TAutostyle.ie Check out there website there workmanship is outstanding. Paul
