Got the under arches in primer today




All the front suspension/engine mounts are off and going for powder coating next week

After priming up last night i came in and stone chipped under the arches
Then this



Anyone else had this with tetrosyl white stonechip?

One step forward and three back

Not happy i only have 7 weeks til my next rally

Also fabricated some rear arch liners out of 2mm kaylan plastic

Sorry to see the bad reaction between the paint and the stone chip, but great thinking with the arch liners. Good luck getting it sorted.

ur stonchip had reacted due to old shutz in the past .also factory sealer or coating done not agree with stone chip am afraid ..
u would have to take it back to the bare metal and then add primer then stonechip u should not have any problems.

a use red oxide primer add 2 coats let cure for 7 days ,seal any joints
then add stonechip.white or grey .depends on what colour is getting painted on top.

Finally sorted out and painted under the arches

Got my few bits back from the powder coaters this morning


Very cheap there are aswell. This little lot cost £30

All ready to be fitted tomorrow

Airfix paints come in handy sometimes lol

Got the painted parts back on this morning

And painted the legs Gentian blue
