  • Cheers all!

Glad I've got to this stage , need to get it outside in better light at some point to see how it looks & if it needs anymore compounding. Next job is to build up the suspension & get it rolling so I can get it outside then the fun bit starts building it up

    cheers, Stu.

It's quite an achievement to make it to this stage, I think from now on this is probably the best part of any resto, enjoy!

      • Hi all, been sorting out bits & pieces ready for the build up,
        painted up a few bits,

stripped down & repainted steering column

Had a load more bits done at the powdercoaters,

axle casing powdercoating has turned out well, ready for rebuilding..

Also had steering column brackets done in powdercoat, and a boxfull of bolts, nuts & washers, boot catch, window runners etc done in zinc plate..

        thats all for now.

        cheers, Stu.

            • Well the build up has begun!
I've got boxes full of bits that have been blasted & powdercoated. So I've made a start getting it back to a rolling shell..

Powdercoated axle casing, I've re-fitted the diff, new brake line & handbrake linkages, all new or re-plated nuts, bolts & washers.

              Front struts completely reconditioned..

              • Powdercoated crossmember, anti-roll bar & brackets fitted & new track control arms..

Some underside shots, leaf springs, rear shocks bolted in, powdercoated shock absorber bar, again new or re-plated bolts etc, new fuel & brake lines & clips..

Put new brake lines in engine bay..

Thats as far as I've got at the moment.

                cheers, Stu.

                  • forgot to add the powder coating looks a lot better than paint looks as if it would take more punishment ie chips etc
