Its now in topcoat! It didn't turn out as good as I'd hoped , some runs here & there & its gone a bit orange peel along the sides , roof, bootlid & bonnet are not too bad. Should hopefully come up ok with a good cut & machine polish. I will upload some pics soon.

Hi all, time for an update with a load of photos of the Sport as promised, here it is with its new coat of paint, I got some orange peel & runs in it as I said in the previous post..

Been wet flatting it with fine grade to get rid of the orange peel & runs...




Then spent ages machine compounding it back to a shine..










I'm much happier with the finish on it now!

Next job to repair the inner arch, I've found a use for VW campers the rear corner repair panel is a similar shape to the arch on the bulkhead so i bought one, cut it to size & held in place with some self tapping screws..

Nice idea, u got a link to these panels? ebay?
