      • Hi all, I've been busy working on the Sport, all the outer panels now back on (apologies for the bad pics, lighting not very good )..

Put a gloss coat on both rear quarters which showed up plenty of imperfections still there as I expected
So been doing yet more sanding & filling, its looking a bit better now though.

Next job is to wet flat it all & see how it looks.

        Thats it for now,

        cheers, Stu.

Yeah, I'm going back to the pod rev counter as thats what it originally had & its a rare thing!
I've been trying to decide whether to go slightly modified or completely standard spec, it had been lowered & had a 1600 xflow when I bought it. I think this one will have to go back to standard though as an early Mk1 Sport is so rare. So I think it will have to be standard 1300GT engine, suspension & ride height & balloon tyres I've got a set of 5 1/2 J steels for it as the original 5J steels were missing, just got to track down a few more bits & pieces for it once I've sorted through what I've got/need for it.

          cheers, Stu.
          Hi Stu.
I have a set of suitable tyres for you to consider, let me know if you are interested.

            • Well done Stu..and good on you for taking and posting so many pics..
I know myself that sometimes when you are in the middle of a resto it is difficult to stop and take pictures.
