    • Its not mine if im honest geoff, its my mates its actually a clarke/machine mart job, i expected it to be crap but its surprisingly good, has pulse, time and steel thickness adjustments from 0.75mm up to 2mm. Needs a 32amp supply nice handy bit of kit. Im hoping it will fit around the sill to spot the sills to inner sills but if not il have to ask my landlord if i can use this one

Specifically built for spotting the floor sections and chassis sections into e type jags, lovely bit of kit but then it wanted to be the amount it cost. Its very easy to use despite its size and weight as its suspended off an over head balence weight and the head swivels 360.

If you want it, get it, before someone else beats you to it.

          • well another small update, decided the welded up roof needed to much filler and mark kindly offered to help me put it on so i fired up the compressor and he set to with the air saw

I must say i looked for a second and thought we shouldnt have done this but as you can see mark wasnt worried hes done a few now, he was laughing.
Bit more drilling and cutting and the donor skins on ready to weld.

            And from the back

I thought it was a cracking effort to get this far this evening in only 2 hours. Hopefully get it finished over the weekend and that will be another big job off the list. So theres panels off 5 different cars on this one lol.

            • Doing a cracking job there mate, what sort of spec are you going for once completed ?

              • The no rust spec lol. It's getting pinto on twin 40's 5 speed. Trimmed inside black fishnets, half cage. Just keeping it simple. Undecided on colour yet and might even Mex rep it even tho it's the wrong age il just make something I like using everything I have to hand.

                    • Managed to do a bit more this evening, double checked measurements then sat the windows in the holes just to be on the safe side

Once we were happy mark set to welding it on, im very pleased with the result, just a bit more welding to do then clean the welds up. The donor roof off the green car was ropey along the gutter so we went with the un conventional way of cutting it just above the corner of the skin so it should metal finish well and it will certainly be strong as its welded both sides.

Soon be on this spit hopefully to fettle the bulkhead and get the unseal and clart cleaned off.

                            • I used some wurth panel bond mate any polyurethane type adhesive will be ok tho. Sikaflex tiger seal, pu-flex there's loads of them. Just makes sure it's definately polyurathane and u would go far wrong and for f**ks sake don't use silicone sealer lol.
