              Cheers

There were some holes near the head lamp (2nd pic.) and I applied epoxy today.

Great job keep the pics coming.

The only advice I would give is take your time and take lots of it at this stage. Time spent on detail now will be well spent. So many times, myself included, that you are just busting to see the final color on it and you take short cuts or rush it. Then reget it for as loong as you own the car!

Well, I'm trying my best and thinking about the details all the time. I am still trying to find original parts. This is really hard in Turkey because there is almost no mk2's left here but I've learned alot from here. This is the best mk2 BB i've ever seen. Thanks everyone.

                    phantom_r32,

                    Looking good.

Must be tough when parts are scarce etc.?

I have a couple of questions if u dont mind.

                    The sump.......whats that from?

                    AND

                    The black spots...what are they?

                    [shrinking??????????]

I think the spots are from one of
those spot guns that puts things
like pop rivets on to the body so
a sliding hammer can pull out the dents
                      i think.

                      cheers James

The sump is custom made because the engine was from an old Taunus (Cortina mk5) but we couldn't fit the engine over the crossmember so half of the sump is different.

Yes, the black spots on the panels are shrinkage spots

The defects on the panels are corrected by heating it with a welding torch and as James said, before cooling, it is hammered.

Recent pictures are here. Sika Guard 552 is applied under the bumpers, inside the boot and engine bay.
