Mk2 Van Project

Hi All,hear is my Escort Van, i've owned it about 4 years i am a coded welder,i have cut out all the root and put in new panels when i can.I've not had to fabricate to much.
I started with inner and outer sills,new front floors,rear arches,front panel,
drip rails,splash panels and wings to name a few hopefully i won't be touching it with the welding set again.

Nice van there not many about these s days.a had a mk1 to or three years ago it needed a lot of welding. It was a mk1van wish a still had it .but had to sell but that's life.all the best with ur build will watch ur progress ur doing a grand job

I've put bilsten legs, vented disc's and calipers, welded anti tramp bars for the rear axle, new rear cylinders flexi's and brake pipes throughout.Running a pinto and 5 speed box, played with the cylinder head just need to get it skimmed.


Running gear all on, engine block and box fitted.Need to sort the wiring out.

there used to be a cracking painters in ainsdale, he used to repair my grandads mk2 when ever it needed touching up etc... doubt its still there though

No i don't paint, just waiting for some help with the wiring in the engine bay.Hoping to then finish putting the engine together,carpets and seats in,aiming to have it finished for the Lakes Tour

I have a set of polished RS 4 spokes with 185x60 13's. Will put some more pictures up at the weekend. Hope to get the bonnet and rear doors painted next week, it's the electric's rearly need doing
