    • Ian, I have just spent about an hour going thru this who;e thread after Grum told me to look at it to give me some ideas with the X-pack.

All I can say is WOW, your attention to detail is amazing, and that is one very nice RS2000. I can't wait to see it next year in the flesh.

The pics will be very handy while I will be rebuilding mine over the winter, not that I am going into as much detail as you, just want mine tidy (as the welsh say).

Good luck with the rest of the work.

Where do you find all thsoe new parts? lol

      • thanks Troll, the parts came from various sources, Ebay, guys off the forum, Fords themselves and alot of the parts, because of the cars low mileage simply had to be refurbished. I replaced all cables, clips, and every bush was replaced with gen Ford parts, as you say, i have just tried to detail the car where i can, but also personalize the car with period mods, however, there are still bits on my "gold list" that i would like to replace, gutter trims, cn,s, etc. Again thankyou for the comments

        • Just read through this thread and wanted to say what a superb meticulous job you're doing. It's genius mate.

Do you do this kind of thing professionally because you should do!

The final product will hopefully be a classic that will outlive us all..well done Ian.

                • Ian, just chanced a peek in the door seal boxes. They're GREAT! They're even both individually in the original Ford boxes and still with the protective talcum powder on them. I didn't unpack them, but I don't think there's any possibility that they're going to be the wrong length or anything stupid like that. Like I say, still in original boxes with correct part number on them. I'm glad we sorted out the deal - they would have been over-the-top on my scrapper! Transfer at Donington!

                    • Been up to see one complete seat this morning, very happy, the other one should be stripped down by next wednesday, ready for me to clean the beta cloth, then completed the following week, if anyone needs any seats sorting, i can now with confidence recommend this guy, 10 mins from my front door, does all the local Aston Martin cars, very approachable guy, just waiting for my seat runners to come back from the paint shop (satin black) and ive had the quaility control stickers reproduced at the local Prontaprint !!
