Made up a set of brake lines today don’t know if I will use them on this car yet

Got a brand new master to go on

Going to give the discs and hubs a fresh paint

After a nice long dip in the vinegar

          Nice state x member

We have a proper twincam anti roll bar for the mex but that means using proper twincam anti roll bar brackets witch we don’t have , so its out with the dill and the welder to make some

Basically the bolt holes need moving back to allow for the shorter roll bar

Extra plate needs to be added

And that’s it the caster will be restored back to were it should be

And lastly for today I made a stabilizer bracket for the air filter

              ARB back no

Got some parts back from the platters yesterday

              Shinny wheel studs

I like a bit of detail I have gone to great lengths to get the correct nuts and thick washers that are fitted to mk1 escorts form new they are a full steel locking nut with no nylon in site and I had to make the washers from scratch

I used the correct UNC and UNF bolts in all the rite places

Bracket painted and it has a rubber sleeve added to stop the ht leeds rubbing thru

              Cleaned the discs up

              Re greased the bearings

Painted the discs in very hi temp paint

The tank is all done ready to go in

Found a nice pick of a RS axle with the brake lines on it, so I copied them

Wasn’t completely happy with some lines so re painted some panels

                    Handbrake before

Handbrake after striping and re plating

First panel to be all finished

Out of intrest I notice the ID is for an export car was there not a temptation to make it left hand drive??

Yer a bit strange that. he has had the car since the early 80s and it’s always been RHD and British registered
