Here we have my Dads 1980 Venetian Red Mk2 RS2000 pictured in 09
It's quite a well known Cumbrian RSOC car from the last six years or so and this years Lakes Tour will be the first one it has missed since the very start of them
The car itself is in a bad way after being used almost daily for the majority of it's life but that's what it was bought for, it never was and never is going to be a trailer queen and the car will be used again. And why not!
In storage we have got genuine inner wings, genuine slam panel and genuine front panel, new outer wings and radiator panels along with new battery tray and support, two full expressed steel floorpans and new seat crossmembers, new flitch panels and genuine ford outer sills!!
Thats without the spring hanger and chassis leg repairs and boot floor/ back panel to tidy up.
The car will be in very safe hands though with Andy and crew at Greta Bodyworks in Keswick ( see the brought it back from Whitehaven thread if you need convincing) and will be heading to them in the next week or so.
Here are a few pictures of how it stands after being stripped down and some of the areas needing work.
Hopefully shouldn't take too long but it's a bit more than a weekends work
And some new metal looking for a nice bootlid if anyone knows of anything??
Cheers for looking
