I picked up a pair of strut tops and a alloy centre consul this week. How ever work has pretty much ground to a halt as I am required to get the house and yard ready for our Holiday in a couple of weeks. I will take this chance to wish everyone a Happt Xmas and a safe but enjoyable New Year and I will post more when I start back next year.

Well the New year is well and truly gone and I have been frantic at work and I had a trip to the states to do as well(a week on the racetrack and they call this work) so January was shot. I have done a bit of work over the last few days which includes doing a how to guide fitting Fibreglass Bubble Arches. Mainly for cost reasons down here we use glass rather than steel so you can see how we do it at

What the hell happened to 2012. Well a new year and a new attitude! I have just had a week off and built the rotisserie, removed the old white escort from the garage it is going into storage shortly. Tidied up the garage so I am ready to go. details of the rotisserie are on the blog as usual.

I can do steel arches but they are not cheap. I do have a budget but the wife doesnt know how much I want to spend . All the arches that are available down here are mainly Glass, the steel ones tend to be a bit smaller than I want as well. it would cost me $12 - 1500 for a set compared to $350 for glass ones. Besides which If I do scrape these they will be easy to replace I am going to use this car so that can happen easy enough. Although if it was a rare shell with a story I would be a bit more sympathetic to it but that is in the future.

Got a small amount done this weekend. I have cleaned off the L/H floor pan underside of the remaining underseal. This meant burning off the bulk seal that was left, I am using a propane burner to heat up the under seal and scraping off the heavy stuff then cleaning up what is left with Thinners and rags. In doing this I found 2 small patches of rust I have cut these out and made up a couple of patches to go in. Although this is a fairly labourious task it is worth it to locate any possible problem areas.
