the bonnet is a bit rough on the car so i purchased a second hand one from Vinny which is in better shape but still requires a lick of paint, therefore time to cut the holes for the 'taps' and away with the bonnet for painting,

whole job, inc measuring and drilling the holes /de burring took 10 minutes, the decision to do the job taken months

anyway, off for paint now

got it running tonight after a few initial problems, Andy c and Gab C were on hand to witness the historic occasion (think Andy frightened it into starting)

let it tick over a while, next thing is to fit "vinny"'s bonnet, and away for the MOT
