Gearbox dropped off at a firm fairly local for a going over. Once he's stripped it we will decide on a way forewards. Providing its not cattled and just wants a rebuild with new seals and gaskets I will prolly have the input shaft machined and sleeved.

Cheers for the offer mate! I even thought about doin it myself as I like learning new stuff but I'm hoping engine/gearbox can go in next weekend if this guy can turn it round quick enough.

I think I've found an old Skool gearbox man up the road so gonna check em out Monday shouldn't cost too much to have someone go thro it

Weirdly I can only describe that gearbox as beautiful to drive! It was one of the best bits about the carthat is why I originally decided to not touch it. But I was encouraged to replace the oil seal, thank god and found that !!

I have changed the bearing in the rally car box..It was straightforward and cheap to do.
