Had more of a play today, found a few bits that need addressing, rubber o rings on the accelerator pump jets were rotten and were begining to leak, the accelerator pump jet for number 2 cyl was pointing at the carb body and not down the inlet tract as it should. Also found this ..... Pmsl
And a few other bits n bobs, hopefully have it sorted in a few days

right at last the stinky twink runs!! and by all accounts seems to be for keeps this time basically i have been through the electrical system and fuel system correcting any niggles i found along the way, and there was a few
car had had new coil, new plugs, cap rotor arm and leads cleaned, carbs stripped and float re-soldered on, accelerator pump jet cap o-rings replaced, carbs refitted ( tighter this time to inlet ) and once running all balanced up nicely.
just need to refit airbox and throttle cable
once that was done i finished my other little project of not having bluetooth spotlamps
yes i need two bulbs
mounted my relays on the redundant dynamo voltage regulator bracket
just a diff to change and ready for AVO
