Midlands Escort Help!

Hi Guys,

Despite owning my MK1 Mexico for about 6 years, I have never got round to fully restoring it!
I now think that the time has come!

I am wondering if anyone could recommend a person / company in the midlands area with experience of escort restoration.

I would like to take it back to a bare shell and have any welding that is required doing. I would also like the roof skin replacing as it unfortunately has a glass sunroof it in.

I am more than happy to carry out the mechanical side of things as I have built plenty of rally cars over the years, it is just the body side of things I am not confident with.
I would like to do it properly once and for all!

Any pointers would be gratefully received.

Chris Shenton Engineering of Stoke-on-Trent did mine about 9 years ago. He won't be cheap, but he'll do a cracking job, works on all types of classics from Bugattis to Fords.

Seriously though I've got lots to do, my mates been waiting since AVO National day 2008 for his Twin Cam to go back together.
Plus I've been trying to get a couple of my own projects finished.
So will be unable to take any work on for the forseeable future.
