Thank you for the most of your comments. The work turn out good , over two years and with help of many people and yes the shell is mint.

But it is a replica. My Replica! Colin Was My Hero. and this car will help people remeber him.

I think the arches are a little diff but a minor detail and hard to see .

I ask this question friends of Colins, Bob Alans and Richard Sykes who own Goudies Accient repair in Ayrshire and who painted the car and also Serviced it at Rallys.The colour is Venetian Red , I think. The orginal colour of the mk2 but is nice bright but deep too. They are reasonable to pay too. Paint work Good.
I have the paint code if you need it.

Also Carnival Red is orginal escort colour too.

Unreal amount of time hes spending Preparing.
Glad its a total price I got and not hourly rate.

Only got one comment on here that wasnt true totally but thats sorted now and water under the bridge.

Colin Mc Rae was the best World Rally driver of his time and an inspiration and a Mad .... too. Supreme confidence in his driving yet shy in public and mad on the nights out. You got to like for that. He as a one of. Fastest man to rally between A to B. He was the one man rally drive feared fr a shoot ou on the last stage to win a rally. He could turn on mental speed, No Fear.

I have met the boys over at rallys a good few times in Ireland.
They have 2lL red top Sumbeam.
Alot of Irish cars are painted by them and one of the best Drivers got his done by them , he was showed her to me.
